Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2024(Round 2 Registration Started)

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2024 is the gateway to a rewarding career in medicine or dentistry for aspiring students in the state. This year, the competition promises to be fierce with over 11,700 medical seats spread across 74 medical colleges and an additional 3,110 dental seats up for grabs. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, conducts the counselling process for these coveted seats, ensuring a fair and transparent system. The registration for the Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2024 second round is from 11th September 10:00 AM to 13th September at 5:00 PM. Candidates can fill and lock their choices from the 14th to the 16th September. Seat allotment is processed on 17th September, with the provisional result on 18th and the final result on 19th September. Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS Admissions Registration

Registrations for Tamil Nadu MBBS and BDS admissions under both Government Quota and Management Quota have commenced from 31st July 2024. The last date to register is 8th August 2024, until 5 PM. Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling College Wise Cutoff (MBBS/BDS)

MBBS/BDS Cutoff is minimum score that student must achieve in NEET Exam to qualify for admission to MBBS/BDS Course in Medical/Dental Colleges in India.  The cutoff varies each year based on factors like the number of candidates, difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats. Candidates are advised to refer the cutoff list to understand their eligibility based on college cutoff.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Seat Matrix (MBBS/BDS)

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Seat Matrix is the distribution of available MBBS and BDS seats across government and private medical and dental colleges in the state. This seat matrix is important for candidates participating in the counselling process, as it helps them identify the number of seats allocated for various categories, such as General, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS, among others. The seat matrix also indicates the seats reserved under different quotas, including state quota, management quota, and NRI quota.

Counselling Registration - State Quota

Step 1: Access the Online Application

Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form

  • Carefully fill in all mandatory fields in the online application form.
  • Ensure the information is accurate and complete.
  • Upload scanned copies of the required documents in PDF format before submitting.

Step 3: Upload Required Documents

While completing the form, upload the following documents:

  • NEET UG 2024 Admit Card and Scorecard (both sides).
  • Class 10, 11, and 12 Mark Sheets (both sides).
  • Transfer Certificate after completing H.S.C. or equivalent.
  • Proof of study from Class 6 to 12 (for Tamil Nadu candidates only).
  • Community Certificate (if applicable).
  • Nativity Certificate.
  • Parents' documents for native claim (if applicable).
  • Special Category Form with relevant certificates (if applicable).
  • Bonafide Certificate for 7.5% Special Reservation (if applicable).
  • Parent's Income Certificate for fee exemption (if applicable).
  • Eligibility Certificate from other universities/boards (if applicable).
  • Court orders (if any).
  • Additional supporting documents (if specified by DME).

Step 4: Submit and Confirm

  • Once complete, download a copy of the application form for your records.
  • Double-check all information for accuracy before submitting.

Step 5: Pay the Registration Fee

  • Pay the required fee online using a debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
  • Remember, the deduction of fees from your account doesn't guarantee successful payment.

Step 6: Review and Finalize

  • Review all details meticulously before submitting the application.
  • You won't be able to make changes after submission.
  • Submit only one application form.

Step 7: Confirmation

  • Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Application submission and fee payment will close as per the official schedule. No extensions will be granted.

Counselling Process for the Government Quota

First Round:

  • Offline for Special Categories: Special categories will have an offline seat allotment.
  • Online for General Category: The general category will have an online seat allotment.

Fees:

  • Processing Fee: Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) for Government quota; Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) for Management quota.
  • Security Deposit: Rs. 30,000/- (Refundable) for Government Colleges; Rs. 1,00,000/- (Refundable) for Management Quota.

Candidates must pay the processing fee and security deposit via the online bank payment portal.

Important Notes:

  • Candidates opting out of any Medical/Dental college(s) in the first phase will not be allowed to reclaim those colleges in subsequent phases.
  • If a candidate takes a seat but does not join or discontinues within the stipulated time, they may attend subsequent phases of online counseling but will forfeit the fees paid.
  • Provisionally selected candidates must undergo original certificate verification before downloading the provisional allotment order and paying the tuition fee.

Second Round:

  • Re-allotment: No fresh registration is allowed. Candidates who wish to retain their college from the first round do not need to participate.
  • Fees: Processing Fee Rs. 500/- (Government quota) or Rs. 1000/- (Management quota). Security Deposit remains the same as the first round.
  • Re-allotment: Available based on rank and vacancies from the first round.

Candidates who have not joined or resigned after the second round will forfeit the processing fee/security deposit and tuition fee.

Mop-Up Round:

  • Eligibility: Candidates who are not holding any seats in MBBS/BDS under All India Quota or State Quota.
  • Fees: Same as the previous rounds.
  • Important Notes: If a candidate is allotted a seat in the State Mop-Up Round, any previous seat in Management/Minority/NRI quotas will be automatically canceled.

Stray Round:

  • Eligibility: Open for candidates who do not hold any seats in MBBS/BDS courses. Candidates holding All India and State Quota seats are not eligible.
  • Fees: Same as the previous rounds.
  • Important Notes: Failure to join in the specified date and time at the respective college will be considered as discontinued, and the candidate will need to pay the penalty.

Bond Policy 2024

Service Requirement:

  • The candidate must, upon demand by the Government within two years of registering as a Medical Practitioner, serve for a minimum period of five years. This service must be in rural areas designated by the Government through General or Special orders.

Penalty for Non-Compliance:

  • If the candidate fails to fulfill the service requirement, they will be liable to pay a penalty of ₹5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs) or an amount as directed by the Government for breaching the contract outlined in the bond.

Penalty for Course Discontinuation:

  • Before Course Completion: If a candidate discontinues the course before its completion, they are obligated to pay a penalty of ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh) for breaching the bond.
  • After Course Commencement: For discontinuation on or after any date in subsequent years, the penalty is increased to ₹10,00,000 (Rupees Ten Lakhs).
