Steps 1: Registration (Before Deadline):

Round-wise Seat Allotment:

Round 1:

  • Seats are allotted strictly based on the state merit list and candidates' locked choices.
  • Candidates receive provisional allotment letters through the website.
  • Accepted candidates must report to the OJEE office for document verification, fee payment, and choice for "Freeze" or "Float."

Round 2 (Optional):

Open to:

  • Newly registered candidates with verified documents.
  • Unallotted candidates from Round 1.
  • Round 1 candidates who were allotted but didn't report for admission.
  • Candidates must fill and lock fresh sets of choices within the specified timeframe.
  • "Freeze" option holders from Round 1 retain their existing allotments.
  • "Float" option holders from Round 1 may be upgraded or retain their allotments based on rank and seat availability.
  • Upgraded candidates must accept the new seat, and their initial allotment is canceled.

Spot Round (Optional):

  • Conducted if vacant seats remain after Round 2.
  • Physical presence is mandatory, and no authorization is allowed.

After Seat Allotment

  • Candidates with confirmed seats:
  • Receive a final allotment letter from OJEE.
  • Must report to the designated college within the stipulated timeframe (dates and deadlines will be specified).

Institute Level Activity

  • College verification: The college verifies the candidate's documents and eligibility based on the OJEE allotment letter.

  • Medical examination: Undergo a mandatory medical examination as per college requirements.

Reporting to the College:

NEET Counselling 2024 Primerily consist of Registrations, Choice filling, Choice Locking, Seat Allottement, Commenceme of Round of Counselling, Upgradtion and Reporting to Colleges which very Step to follow ensuring the smooth and effective way to complete counselling and get admitted to your desired colleges and making your dream come true as medical aspirant, Here’re some about steps to follow during Counselling Process;

Step 1: Registration 

  • First and Foremost step to follow for Counselling is registration, Visit to the Medical Counselling Committee’s official website (Click Here).
  • Then Locate the Registration link named ‘UG Counselling Registrations’ and Click on it
  • After registration link has opened carefully filled up the registration form mentioning you personal details, academic details and other important details.
  • After filling out registration form, make the payment for registration in make payment Section using the debit card or UPI.
  • Once the payment is done, you will have the ‘preview’ where you can preview the registration and check whether details you have provided are correct or Not. Once you checked all the details you have provided click on ‘okay’. Take print out of registration or download pdf form for future references 
  • Once registration is done click on the log out from the registration and move onward to choice filling Sections 

Step 2: Choice Filling 

  • Upon registration the next step to follow is ‘Choice Filling’ where you can prefer list of Medical and dental colleges of your choice ensuring the best options for medical journey 
  • After registration. Login again for the choice filling  with details you have provided during registration.
  • Once you have logged in to choice filling, now you can fillied up choices for list of collehges which are best suited for you. 
  • There is no limit for the list of choices you can select.
  • Onces the choice filling is done move on to Choice locking section.

Step 3: Choice Locking 

  • Once you selected all your perferred choice move on to the Choic Locking section ensuring that choices you have selected will be used in first round of NEET Counselling.
  • Once you checked throughly through your selected perference, start locking all the colleges.
  • Once you have locked all the choices, you can’t change the perference untill next round of counselling so carefully lock the choices

Step 4: Rounds of Counselling 

 The counselling for medical and dental will conducted with four rounds of Counselling while each round follows typical steps such as registration (for first round only. Auto Consideration for the other rounds), Choice filling and locking, seat allottment, result and document verification and reporting to allotted colleges;

Round 1:

  • Register: Pay fees and register on MCC website.
  • Choices: Fill and lock preferred colleges & courses.
  • Seat Allotment: Based on rank & choices, get a seat.
  • Results & Documents: Check result, upload certificates.
  • Reporting: Report to college with documents (upgrade option).

Round 2:

  • Automatic Consideration: No need to register if not allotted in Round 1.
  • Fresh Registration: Register for Round 2 if new or missed Round 1.
  • Choices: Fill new choices and lock them.
  • Seat Allotment & Reporting: Similar to Round 1.
  • Upgrade: Upgraded candidates need relieving from Round 1 seat.

Round 3:

  • Automatic Consideration: Similar to Round 2.
  • Fresh Registration: Similar to Round 2.
  • Choices & Reporting: Similar to Round 1 & 2.

Final Stray Vacancy Round:

  • Register: New registration required.
  • Elimination: Candidates with seats are eliminated.
  • Vacancy Round: Fill choices for vacant seats.
  • Seat Allotment: Based on merit in this round.
  • Joining: Join allotted seat or face consequences.

Step 5: Seat Allottment Process for the Rounds 

Here’s how seat allottment process works;

Common Steps for All Rounds:

  • Choices Locked: After the choice filling window closes, your choices are locked.
  • Rank Processing: Your NEET score and category are used to calculate your rank.
  • Seat Allocation Algorithm: Seats are allocated based on a pre-defined algorithm considering:

Not Allotted:

Step 6: Upgradations
