NEET Counselling Merit List
NEET Merit List 2024 determines student eligibility for the NEET counselling process. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) issues the merit list for the 15% All India Quota seats, while individual states release merit lists for the 85% state quota seats, deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER. The National Testing Agency’s (NTA) All India Rank (AIR) NEET Merit List 2024 includes candidate names, AIR, NEET scores out of 720, and qualifying status. This list is important for seat allocation in NEET 2024 counselling, as state counselling authorities use it to prepare state-specific merit lists. Admissions to the 85% state quota seats and private institutions depends on the state-wise NEET rank list 2024. After the NTA compiles the merit list, it sends it to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for All India Quota counselling, which then forwards it to the respective states and Union Territories for their NEET counselling process in 2024.
NEET Counselling Choice Filling
Choice filling is an important part of counseling, it should be filled very carefully. While filling the choices, the following things should be kept in mind:
- First fill the top medical college, if the marks are less, and then first fill such Medical College whose education is very good.
- Fill the College of low fees first, because there are some colleges whose fees are very high.
- After filling the Top Medical College, you have to fill the Medical College of your state.
- Some Deemed Universities charge a fee of 5 years, so before selecting any Deemed University, take information from its website or talk to the helpline number in the College. Along with the tuition fees of the college, also check other expenses like Hostel, Mess, Sports etc.
- Get information about the Bond from the Participating Institute on the web portal of MCC. I have also given information about the bond of each state in the state quota book.
- Give priority to such a state so that you can get benefit in PG.
- Give priority to Old Medical College first. Fill the new college in the last.
