The Counselling process has been set to admitted about 2982 Seat for the medical colleges and 200 seats for the dental colleges within the State. The counselling for the 85% will be conducted by the State counselling meanwhile the counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) will be Conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The counselling will follow the basic steps such registration, Choice filling and Locking and seat allotment, Rounds of counselling and reporting to colleges for the smooth counselling. Registration:

Choice Filling:

- Save & Lock: Save your choices periodically and finally lock them before the deadline.
Merit List & Allotment:
- Separate Lists: Separate state merit lists are generated based on registrations for each round.
- Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on your merit rank, choices, and available seats.

Joining the Seat:
- Round 1: If allotted a seat in Round 1, you can accept or reject it without penalty.
- Rounds 2 & 3: If you accept a new/fresh seat in Rounds 2 & 3, you forfeit the security deposit if you don't join.

Upgradation & Resignation:
- Upgradation: In Rounds 2 & 3, you can opt for seat upgradation if you get a better-ranked seat.
- Resignation: You can resign from your admitted seat in Rounds 1 or 2 before Round 3 starts, but forfeit the security deposit.
- No Resignation in Round 3: Resigning from the allotted seat in Round 3 is not permitted.

Step 1: Registration
- The first and Foremost step to follow for Counselling is registration, Visit the Medical Counselling Committee’s official website (Click Here).
- Then Locate the Registration link named ‘UG Counselling Registrations’ and Click on it
- After the registration link has opened carefully filled up the registration form mentioning you personal details, academic details, and other important details.
- After filling out the registration form, make the payment for registration in the Make Payment Section using the debit card or UPI.
- Once the payment is done, you will have the ‘preview’ where you can preview the registration and check whether details you have provided are correct or Not. Once you checked all the details you have provided click on ‘okay’. Take printout of the registration or download the pdf form for future references
- Once registration is done click on the log out from the registration and move onward to choice filling Sections
Step 2: Choice Filling
- Upon registration, the next step to follow is ‘Choice Filling’ where you can choose list of Medical and dental colleges of your choice ensuring the best options for medical journey
- After registration. Log in again for the choice filling with details you have provided during registration.
- Once you have logged in to choice filling, now you can fillied up choices for list of collehges which are best suited for you.
- There is no limit for the list of choices you can select.
- Onces the choice filling is done move on to the Choice locking section.
Step 3: Choice Locking
- Once you selected all your perferred choice move on to the Choic Locking section ensuring that choices you have selected will be used in first round of NEET Counselling.
- Once you checked throughly through your selected perference, start locking all the colleges.
- Once you have locked all the choices, you can’t change the perference untill next round of counselling so carefully lock the choices
Step 4: Rounds of Counselling
The counselling for medical and dental will conducted with four rounds of Counselling while each round follows typical steps such as registration (for first round only. Auto Consideration for the other rounds), Choice filling and locking, seat allottment, result and document verification and reporting to allotted colleges;
Round 1:
- Register: Pay fees and register on MCC website.
- Choices: Fill and lock preferred colleges & courses.

- Results & Documents: Check result, upload certificates.
- Reporting: Report to college with documents (upgrade option).
Round 2:
- Automatic Consideration: No need to register if not allotted in Round 1.

- Choices: Fill new choices and lock them.
- Seat Allotment & Reporting: Similar to Round 1.
- Upgrade: Upgraded candidates need relieving from Round 1 seat.
Round 3:
- Automatic Consideration: Similar to Round 2.

Final Stray Vacancy Round:
- Register: New registration required.
- Elimination: Candidates with seats are eliminated.
