Counselling Registrations
- Wait for the official announcement: Stay updated on the official website for the registration start date. It will likely be mentioned after the NEET UG results declaration.
- Visit the website: On the designated date, access https://upneet.gov.in/.
- Login: Use your NEET UG 2024 application number and roll number to log in.

Uttar Pradesh NEET Counseling 2024 Counselling Process
The counselling process typically involves three rounds: first, second, and mop-up (if applicable). Here's a simplified breakdown of each round:
1. First Round:
- Deposit security money: Pay based on your college preference (government or government & private).
- Choice filling: Select your preferred colleges online.
- Lock your choices: Submit your final choices within the deadline.
- Seat allotment: Seats are allocated based on your rank and choices.
Admission or next round:
- If you get a seat, take admission at the allotted college. Failing to do so forfeits your security money.
- If you don't get a seat, you're automatically eligible for the second round without re-depositing the security money.
2. Second Round:
- Open to: Candidates without a seat in Round 1, those who want to upgrade their seat, and newly registered candidates.
- Process: Similar to Round 1 (choice filling, locking, seat allotment).
- Important: If you already have a seat and choose the same one again, your previous allotment will be cancelled.
3. Mop-Up Round (if applicable):
- Open to: Candidates who didn't get a seat in the first two rounds and weren't registered earlier.
- Registration: Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,000/- on the official website.
- Seat allotment and admission: Similar to other rounds.
- Document verification: Submit original documents for verification after seat allotment. Failing to do so leads to disqualification.

NEET Counselling 2024 Primerily consist of Registrations, Choice filling, Choice Locking, Seat Allottement, Commenceme of Round of Counselling, Upgradtion and Reporting to Colleges which very Step to follow ensuring the smooth and effective way to complete counselling and get admitted to your desired colleges and making your dream come true as medical aspirant, Here’re some about steps to follow during Counselling Process;
Step 1: Registration
- First and Foremost step to follow for Counselling is registration, Visit to the Medical Counselling Committee’s official website (Click Here).
- Then Locate the Registration link named ‘UG Counselling Registrations’ and Click on it
- After registration link has opened carefully filled up the registration form mentioning you personal details, academic details and other important details.
- After filling out registration form, make the payment for registration in make payment Section using the debit card or UPI.
- Once the payment is done, you will have the ‘preview’ where you can preview the registration and check whether details you have provided are correct or Not. Once you checked all the details you have provided click on ‘okay’. Take print out of registration or download pdf form for future references
- Once registration is done click on the log out from the registration and move onward to choice filling Sections
Step 2: Choice Filling
- Upon registration the next step to follow is ‘Choice Filling’ where you can prefer list of Medical and dental colleges of your choice ensuring the best options for medical journey
- After registration. Login again for the choice filling with details you have provided during registration.
- Once you have logged in to choice filling, now you can fillied up choices for list of collehges which are best suited for you.
- There is no limit for the list of choices you can select.
- Onces the choice filling is done move on to Choice locking section.
Step 3: Choice Locking
- Once you selected all your perferred choice move on to the Choic Locking section ensuring that choices you have selected will be used in first round of NEET Counselling.
- Once you checked throughly through your selected perference, start locking all the colleges.
- Once you have locked all the choices, you can’t change the perference untill next round of counselling so carefully lock the choices
Step 4: Rounds of Counselling
The counselling for medical and dental will conducted with four rounds of Counselling while each round follows typical steps such as registration (for first round only. Auto Consideration for the other rounds), Choice filling and locking, seat allottment, result and document verification and reporting to allotted colleges;
Round 1:
- Register: Pay fees and register on MCC website.
- Choices: Fill and lock preferred colleges & courses.
- Seat Allotment: Based on rank & choices, get a seat.
- Results & Documents: Check result, upload certificates.
- Reporting: Report to college with documents (upgrade option).
Round 2:
- Automatic Consideration: No need to register if not allotted in Round 1.
- Fresh Registration: Register for Round 2 if new or missed Round 1.
- Choices: Fill new choices and lock them.
- Seat Allotment & Reporting: Similar to Round 1.
- Upgrade: Upgraded candidates need relieving from Round 1 seat.
Round 3:
- Automatic Consideration: Similar to Round 2.

Final Stray Vacancy Round:
- Register: New registration required.
- Elimination: Candidates with seats are eliminated.
