Counselling Process - State Quota

In Kerala, admissions for MBBS, BDS, and Ayurveda courses are managed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) based on NEET scores. Here’s a detailed guide on how to take admission:

Registration:

  • Initial Registration: Candidates must have completed the registration process with CEE for MBBS, BDS, and Ayurveda courses as well as for other courses. The registration for NEET-based courses is mandatory.
  • Check Registration Status: If you missed the initial registration, you can check the CEE website (https://cee.kerala.gov.in/) after the NEET 2024 results are announced. Registration windows for MBBS, BDS, and Ayurveda courses are typically open for 2-3 days.

Post-NEET 2024 Result:

  • KEAM Release: After the NEET 2024 results, KEAM, authorized by CEE for medical admissions, will release the list of registered candidates eligible for state quota admission. The official website for KEAM is https://cee.kerala.gov.in/keam2024. The seat matrix, fees, and counseling schedules will be published here.

Counseling Rounds:

First Round:

  • Eligibility: Candidates included in the state merit list by CEE can register their options online.
  • Option Registration Fee: ₹5,000 for MBBS, paid online. This fee will be adjusted against the tuition fee for the allotted course.
  • Allotment and Reporting: Candidates allotted seats in Round I must physically report to the allotted college and pay the fee as per the Allotment Memo. If a candidate exits a seat allotted in Round I, they will not be considered for Round II but can register afresh for Round III.

Second Round:

  • Participation: Candidates from Round I can participate in Round II without fresh option registration. They can only confirm, re-arrange, or delete options from Round I.
  • Option Confirmation: Mandatory for considering options in Round II. Candidates who are satisfied with their Round I allotment and do not want further consideration must cancel remaining options.
  • Exiting Seats: Candidates who exit a seat in Round II can re-register for Round III.

Third Round:

  • Fresh Registration: Candidates who were allotted seats in previous rounds and exited or those who did not register in earlier rounds can register afresh with a fee of ₹1,00,000 (₹95,000 + ₹5,000).
  • Option Confirmation: Candidates must confirm their options online to be considered in this round. They can also re-arrange, add, or delete options.
  • Fee and Joining: Those allotted seats must pay the fee and join the allotted course/college. If no allotment is received, the fee will be refunded after the admission process concludes.

Stray Vacancy Round:

  • Fresh Registration: For stray vacancies, a fresh option registration will be conducted.
  • Eligibility: Candidates who joined seats in previous rounds or are holding seats in the All India quota are not eligible. Also, those who exited after the prescribed date are not eligible.
  • Data Sharing: Data will be shared with both central and state authorities to ensure candidates in the stray vacancy list do not overlap with those already allotted seats.

Key Points to Remember:
