Counselling  Registration

Counselling Process 

Step 1: Register and Submit Documents (Before First Scrutiny) 

  • Register on the CGDME website (www.cgdme.admissions.nic.in).
  • Submit the application form with the required fee and supporting documents.
  • Ensure all documents (category certificate, EWS certificate, PwD certificate, Domicile, Class 12 marksheet, etc.) are dated before the first scrutiny deadline.
  • Documents for PwD quota must be issued by the State Medical Board only.

Step 2: Round 1 (Main Counseling)

a) Registration: Pay the application fee and refundable security deposit.

b) Choice Filling and Locking: Choose your preferred colleges and courses, then lock your choices.

c) Seat Allotment: The system will assign seats based on merit, preferences, and seat availability.

d) Results: Check the CGDME website for your Round 1 seat allotment.

Step 3: Reporting at Allotted College (Round 1)

a) Upgrade Option: If allotted a college, you can choose to upgrade in Round 2 by reporting for document verification.

b) Mandatory Admission (Govt. Medical Colleges): If allotted a government medical college, admission is mandatory after document verification.

c) Admission Option (Private/Dental): Choose to get admitted or wait for possible upgrade in private medical/dental colleges.

Step 4: Round 2 (Fresh Choices)

a) Choice Filling: If not satisfied with Round 1 or didn't get a seat, submit fresh choices for Round 2.

b) Results: Check the CGDME website for your Round 2 seat allotment.

Step 5: Reporting at Allotted College (Round 2)

a) Admission and Security Deposit: If allotted a seat, take admission and pay the required fees. Failure to do so will lead to security deposit forfeiture.

Step 6: Mop-Up Round (Eligible Candidates Only)

a) Eligibility: Open to unallotted candidates, those wanting to upgrade from Govt./Private Dental colleges, and remaining unfilled seats.

b) Choice Filling: Fill fresh choices for the Mop-Up round.

c) Results: Check the CGDME website for your Mop-Up round seat allotment.

Step 7: Reporting at Allotted College (Mop-Up Round)

  • Report at the allotted college for admission if you receive a seat.

State Stray Vacancy Round (No Fresh Registration)

  • This round is conducted by CGDME for state-contributed seats based on a merit list sent to colleges.
  • No fresh registration is allowed in this round.

Step 1: Registration 

  • First and Foremost step to follow for Counselling is registration, Visit to the Medical Counselling Committee’s official website (Click Here).
  • Then Locate the Registration link named ‘UG Counselling Registrations’ and Click on it
  • After registration link has opened carefully filled up the registration form mentioning you personal details, academic details and other important details.
  • After filling out registration form, make the payment for registration in make payment Section using the debit card or UPI.
  • Once the payment is done, you will have the ‘preview’ where you can preview the registration and check whether details you have provided are correct or Not. Once you checked all the details you have provided click on ‘okay’. Take print out of registration or download pdf form for future references 
  • Once registration is done click on the log out from the registration and move onward to choice filling Sections 

Step 2: Choice Filling 

  • Upon registration the next step to follow is ‘Choice Filling’ where you can prefer list of Medical and dental colleges of your choice ensuring the best options for medical journey 
  • After registration. Login again for the choice filling  with details you have provided during registration.
  • Once you have logged in to choice filling, now you can fillied up choices for list of collehges which are best suited for you. 
  • There is no limit for the list of choices you can select.
  • Onces the choice filling is done move on to Choice locking section.

Step 3: Choice Locking 

  • Once you selected all your perferred choice move on to the Choic Locking section ensuring that choices you have selected will be used in first round of NEET Counselling.
  • Once you checked throughly through your selected perference, start locking all the colleges.
  • Once you have locked all the choices, you can’t change the perference untill next round of counselling so carefully lock the choices

Step 4: Rounds of Counselling 

 The counselling for medical and dental will conducted with four rounds of Counselling while each round follows typical steps such as registration (for first round only. Auto Consideration for the other rounds), Choice filling and locking, seat allottment, result and document verification and reporting to allotted colleges;

Round 1:

  • Register: Pay fees and register on MCC website.
  • Choices: Fill and lock preferred colleges & courses.
  • Seat Allotment: Based on rank & choices, get a seat.
  • Results & Documents: Check result, upload certificates.
  • Reporting: Report to college with documents (upgrade option).

Round 2:

  • Automatic Consideration: No need to register if not allotted in Round 1.
  • Fresh Registration: Register for Round 2 if new or missed Round 1.
  • Choices: Fill new choices and lock them.
  • Seat Allotment & Reporting: Similar to Round 1.
  • Upgrade: Upgraded candidates need relieving from Round 1 seat.

Round 3:

  • Automatic Consideration: Similar to Round 2.
  • Fresh Registration: Similar to Round 2.
  • Choices & Reporting: Similar to Round 1 & 2.

Final Stray Vacancy Round:

  • Register: New registration required.
  • Elimination: Candidates with seats are eliminated.
  • Vacancy Round: Fill choices for vacant seats.
  • Seat Allotment: Based on merit in this round.
  • Joining: Join allotted seat or face consequences.

Step 5: Seat Allottment Process for the Rounds 

Here’s how seat allottment process works;

Common Steps for All Rounds:

  • Choices Locked: After the choice filling window closes, your choices are locked.
  • Rank Processing: Your NEET score and category are used to calculate your rank.
  • Seat Allocation Algorithm: Seats are allocated based on a pre-defined algorithm considering:
  1. Your rank in NEET Exam
  2. Your locked choices
  3. Seat availability in your chosen colleges and courses
  4. Reservation categories
  • Seat Allotment Results: Results are announced on the official website (MCC for AIQ, state websites for state quota).

Seat Acceptance:

If Allotted:

  • Download your allotment letter.
  • Upload required documents within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Report to the allotted college with original documents for physical verification.

Not Allotted:

  • Wait for the next round or consider Stray Vacancy Round (if applicable).

Step 6: Upgradations
